East Coast Earthquake and 2012

East Coast Earthquake damage and people 2012There has not been a single significant earthquake in the Central Virginia Seismic Zone since 1879, and this 5.8 Magnitude earthquake in Virginia was almost as strong as the 5.9 quake that struck in 1897, in Giles County, Va over 100 years ago. This August 23rd. 2011 quake is tied for third strongest along the East Coast in recorded history. Although we’ve mentioned before, Virginia is in Earthquake country, and quakes like this should not be unexpected! 2012 is right around the corner, and around the world we’re seeing more earthquakes than ever before and larger earthquakes than before, just like James Michael Sayer and the ancient Maya predicted!

Although no attributed deaths have been announced, some damage did occur. For instance, the Washington Monument has been damaged, and structural engineers will be brought in to evaluate the cracks, and many power lines and water mains were damaged. Life quickly returned to normal in Washington D.C., though should a greater magnitude quake strike the East Coast of the U.S., untold numbers would die and the damage would be in the billions of dollars.

Why? The eastern U.S. has much older and denser bedrock and geological features than the West Coast, thus any earthquakes that occur have a much stronger impact immediately in the vicinity due to the energy being transmitted more readily, and more importantly, the shockwaves can travel much further and cause damage at greater distances than in California and other western states with rather young and loose rock.

The second reason a serious earthquake in this geographic area would be devastating is because of the general lack of preparedness by the public, and the lax building requirements in the area. There hasn’t been a serious earthquake in one hundred years, and the area is not at all (until now) recognized for earthquakes.

If you have not considered an earthquake happening in your area and haven’t prepared for it, we’d recommend you do so. Disaster-preparedness cannot be overemphasized in this day and age, especially if you live in an urban environment where everything you need is dependent on someone/something else outside your control. Some basic and cheap supplies, food and water, and a portable backpack with some essentials is not a bad idea. Here are some great survival tips and a must-watch video click here.

There has been a great number of similar to this one emergencies and disasters ,taking place nearly everywhere in the world in different times,of course, since our planet commenced its existence, including predinosaur’s, dinosaur’s and our epoches.Without mentioning about more considerable and extensive disasters like floods, forestfires etc.,that are pretty annual in many regions of our planet.I suppose,US isn’t exception,it’s also situated on the seismo-dangerous area and i suppose soon or late it had to occur there. But,I can join your opinion about such accidents’ becoming more frequent in our time. But all of these wrathful reactions of the “mother nature” are defenitely caused by our unresponsible, harmful, negative and ceaseless exploitation of its resources, absence of which in the depths of Earth may result into unpredictably catastrophic consequences. Our “sway” here may soon come to its logical end due to our own activity, and the only factor we can blame the future death of Earth on,is just human himself.

Whoever knows anything be that Nasa, world leaders, blah blah, their is no way of preparing for it if it all turns out to be real. Like death itself it comes in from no-where and is a way stronger force than life. The ancient Maya were a spiritual force, they were years ahead of where we are now and they did all this without an iphone :)
What will be will be, and making people aware of any other will cause panic. UNLESS (though I doubt this very much) People start seeing beyond. I think just like a computer the world is heading for the recycle bin and will all be erased. The good news though, it will all start again and hopefully this time Adam & Eve will do what is right for mankind from the beginning :) Speaking hypothetically of course!!!

To clarify this event will not mean the end of the world no matter how you say it. In the darkest corners of your minds it will mean the end of humanity but all things considered hitting humanity with a string of natural disasters is like using pesticides on cockroaches. no matter what you do something will survive (unless you legit destroy the planet, i will concede that but even then you have some possibilities for survivors)

Dont give up on god or if the world does in you will all be guilty

No one can stop or survive what might be in store, only GOD can save you, the bible says you can live even after you die, just believe in GOD so that you can live for an eternity even after you die. Our flesh might die, but the spirit will live for ever in eternity, choose your eternity wit GOD, believe in Jesus from this moment, you will be saved.

As an environmental studies major in college, I can honestly say that the “stream of lies” about greenhouse gasses being a main cause of global warming is true. If one simply looks at the graphs, charts, or data, it is quite easy to see.

well i am a believer yes i believe that something will happen at that date.i thing some people survive and others don`t especially poor people but its not easy for them because they have to wait to come out and take that fresh air.i`m very sorry it has to end like this.yes in god i trust and god said that i`m not going to do the same mistake.well i thing we have to wait and see until the 21st DECEMBER and we leave it in god hands.just pray!

I believe something is going to happen in 2012. However, I do NOT think it will be the end of the world because, God told us we will NEVER be able to predict the EXACT day. We just all need to put our differences aside and help eachother out when the hard times come. And let God protect us from the unknown.

This is the biggest bunch of B.S. I have ever read! Is anyone aware that not even Mayanists believe this crock of s**t? GOD plainly stated that NO ONE knows the date or time that life AS WE KNOW IT will end. That phrase alone says it all. Life as we know it does not mean the end of the world literally. Simply that we will live life completely different than we do now.

this is the bigest lie in the history off the world yes jesus will return but not for a while yet. god will change life on earth one day but not next year.

I haven’t read a bigger bunch of misinformation in quite sometime! Here’s some FACT for your BS. After years of speculation and historic research, it was believed that a huge body astronomers were looking for was a huge planet or a small star, possibly a companion to our Sun (making the Solar System a binary system). The name “Nibiru” was unearthed by the author Zecharia Sitchin, on researching the possible intervention of extraterrestrials in the early history of mankind (not by the actual mayans as you say). Nibiru is a hypothetical planet as taught in ancient Sumerian culture (the Sumerians existed from around 6,000BC to 3,000BC, predating Babylon, in the current geographic location of Iraq). There is very little archaeological evidence to suggest this mythical planet has anything to do with Planet X. But since this dubious connection, Planet X and Nibiru are now thought by doomsayers to be the same thing, an ancient astronomical body that has returned after a long orbit beyond the Solar System. ITS ALL MYTH. You doomsdayers will then rebuttal with – “governments are sending out disinformation and covering up the true observations of Nibiru.” Although I enjoy a good conspiracy theory, I will not support anything in the name of Planet X. If the basic science behind what we are led to believe are the foundation of Planet X existing is wrong, it seems a poor argument to say “the government did it”.

Something is going to happen this year, I can feel it. I’m not sure what will happen in 2012, or if any of the commonly talked about things will happen, but something will for sure.

Nothing is right with the world, with all the protest going on globally and at home too here in the States, it feels like if the economy and jobs keep getting worse (let alone imagine if creditors start collecting debts forecefully), and with the new defense billl, it will get out of hand. I think the United States is scared of its people, and that was the reason they passed that defense bill. Imagine now if they want they can indefinetely detain protesters and under “terrorism” charges and really put a fright in people not to speak out agaist the government.

I don’t want anything bad to happenn, but I’m taking the advice of some smart individuals I know and regardless of what happen in 2012 or after, I am investing some of my money into physical gold, buying some home protection weapons and creating a decent supply of survival food and water at home. If you live in the city like I do, it’d be wise to prepare for the worst.

the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Mark 13:25

I’m not a sciantist but I like to research interesting topicts like this one myself.

The only book I believe is true (not with just a lot of truth and some made up stuff) is Bible, it’s a great foundation to lean on.

You know how they talk about the changes in the atmosphere and the sun becoming unhealthy…

So, I found some interesting info on the “end times”:

7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginning of birth pains. Mark 13:7-8

It’s happening right now! Isn’t is interesting?

Here is more what the Bible says about birth pains of the earth:

8 Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor.
They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.

9 See, the day of the LORD is coming—a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger—to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

10 The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.
    Isaiah 13:8-10

All depend on Americans. Why? Those earthquakes and climate changes are all caused by Americans.

Well, there is a strong possibility that the world may end in March 2012. The feast of Purim will be in the month of March 2012. There is a lot of interesting information (in particular) in the book of Esther in the Bible (KJV).

To God be all the glory!

  26. #26 by Bony55 - February 6th, 2012 at 15:32

    You guys don’t know crap!
The bible clearly states that the world will end when none expects it. If the “Mayans” predicted the end of the world than that like saying Jesus Christ didn’t exist! An even if this prophecy by the “Mayans” was correct, wouldn’t try and seek safety rather than claiming it will happen. Now a nuclear war happening in 2012 I would believe. But this planet X stuff is crap!

  27. #27 by Haley - February 12th, 2012 at 16:31

No Planet X was JUST found not 7,200 yrs ago!! This website is bull!!!!!!!! But, on Nov 21st 2012 is when the world may, or may not end if you skip every 50 letters in the bible it will say Bin Laden Airplanes. If you skip another 50 letters then it will say November 21 2012 Comets! So apperently on Novemeber 21st 2012, Planet Earth is going to be pelt by billions of comets. If its in the Bible then its real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. #28 by GOD Is Not real - February 13th, 2012 at 14:11

Religious people make me laugh! Who gives a shit if it happens or not. man will eventually destroy ourselves along with this lovely planet. Man is man’s worst enemy, not the universe.

  29. #29 by Jake - February 13th, 2012 at 18:53

If you look at the bible God says he will not flood the Earth. Again so the earth will not go bye bye by flood

  30. #30 by mystery - February 14th, 2012 at 06:29

Actually,it doesn’t matter what disaster exactly is goin’ to devastate our planet and erase humanity from ist surface. BUT the Mayan phophets chose the date 21 12 2012 not by chance,of course! “They’ll descend from the sky” that saying according to mayan predictions makes sense and we may think “there’re no words about THE END in the statements like this one.Honestly saying:None of the true of false prophets were ever able to predict a certain date or something defenite on the whole. It’s an issue of ours to interprete their predictions correctly. And that’s why every interpreter of the ancient scriptures touching ancient prophecies and so on in his/her own way.THAT”S THE MAIN AMBIGIOUTY IN PROPHECIES’ INTERPRETATIONS! SO THE ONLY PROPHET THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN CORRECT AND TRUE AND IN ALL TIMES IS TIME ITSELF!.So it will show us all what we need very soon.

  31. #31 by Itstobe - February 17th, 2012 at 14:13

Everyone is right, so if thats true, then it must be wrong.Man writes what he believes to be true. We are cautioned to not put our faith in false things.
We do not know what is true. We should not believe what we read. What will be will and we do not have a true word to help.

  32. #32 by Jay - February 19th, 2012 at 09:50

I can’t believe all the hype, the fact that a black hole will devour this planet is impossible given the fact that this has happened before. The mayan population didn’t disappear they’re still millions of mayans living in guatemala. I would like everyone to do a little research on the subject and u will see that this day in time has to do with the winter equinoxes. Truly this will not just be another day as though newsyears day and christmas day is not another day to christians.

  34. #34 by tom - February 29th, 2012 at 17:05

why do people take this GOD into everything, there is proof tht there is NO GOD, and if the world was going to end, ok we’ll be pissed cuz we’ve wasted years goin to collage, school and not gettin anywhere in life, the only thing i can say is if this is true then just enjoy the time we’ve got with the ones you love and stop reserching this stuff cuz it will make u mad at one point.
