Planet X Nibiru Wormwood – Ancient Mayan and Bible Connection
How do ancient Maya and Bible prophecies regarding 2012 tie together? One such example revolves around the so called Planet X, or Nibiru (no pun intended). Actually, “Planet X” is a astronomy/scientific term for a planet that has not yet been directly observed, but that has been identified and proven to exist do to its effect on other planets and more. Ancient Mayan spiritual beliefs and astronomical observations and predictions (which by the way go hand-in-hand) as well as bible prophecies converge on many things, but perhaps the most frightening and questioned topic is what will happen in 2012 and what does Nibiru (or Wormwood, as called in the Bible) have to do with it.
“Wormwood” comes from an old word meaning “to make bitter,” or to curse, and is mentioned several times in the Bible. Found in Jeremiah 9:15, 23:15; Lamentations 3:15; 3:19 and Proverbs 5:4, it refers to the coming of a bitter judgment or curse, as well as the mark of the beginning of a new period.
In the book of Revelations, Wormwood is the name given to the “star,” or heavenly body that can mean anything from a planet to comet or asteroid, that physically crashes into the earth. It is not known if it will physically bring a bitterness to the world, or if it will cause a chain of events that will bring it to pass. The bible says that a third of the world’s fresh water supply will be effected, turned bitter, and many will die by drinking from it. Whether it is an asteroid, a star, or a planet is irrelevant, for the Bible says it will strike the Earth, and the devastation will be “bitter.”
Is the Maya’s Nibiru and the Bible’s Wormwood the same? What will happen in 2012? Will Nibiru pass and a separate comet impact earth in 2012 or on another date? If an actual planet like Nibiru collided with earth, it will bring much greater destruction and death than either the Bible or the Mayans indicate, so many believe that the 2012 Planet X and an impacting comet or asteroid are separate things that will happen at different times.
End of the World 2012 Pole Shift
There is nothing new under the sun: modern astronomical findings concur with the Ancient Mayan beliefs–On December 21, 2012, the earth will be in exact alignment with the sun and the center of the Milky Way galaxy, a galactic event that takes place only once every 25,800 years. No one knows what this extraordinary alignment will have on the earth. We have no records from that time period, but the Mayans did, and they believed it would be calamitous. (Note that they were incredibly advanced with various time-keeping methods, and in fact, the Mayan calendar was so incredibly precise that it accurately predicts solar/lunar eclipses thousands of years into the future! This calendar however ends on December 21, 2012 without any real explanation. Maybe what they knew was coming in 2012, and at other times, was so common knowledge and trivial to them that they figured they didn’t need to indicate it? )
The galactic alignment the Mayans predicted in 2012 will be a crossing over of the galactic “Equator,” and when the Earth goes below that point, magnetic currents may attract in opposite directions. Might a field effect reversal that takes place once you pass through this galactic equator? Geophysics have a theory that is strikingly similar to the events predicted by the Mayan alignment. Also, NASA predicts that during 2012 and the year after, as the Sun reaches the end of the sunspot cycle, it will reverse its own magnetic poles, which may further amplify the effects of magnetic field on earth and potentially hasten a “world-ending” pole shift in 2012
The pole shift phenomenon—in which the entire mantle of the earth shifts in a matter of days, perhaps hours, changing the position of the north and south pole, will cause world-wide disaster. Earthquakes might rock every continent, massive tsunamis could inundate coastal cities. It would be the ultimate planetary catastrophe. Worst of all, this theory is backed by science. In 1955, Albert Einstein explored it at some depth, but more recently, a study by Princeton University reveals that the earth has indeed undergone polar shifts in the past. NASA confirms that the North Pole existed in the middle of the pacific ocean about 800 million years ago, placing Alaska at the equator. Scientists point to evidence that even a pole shift takes place slowly, over years, it will still result in global climate change and shifting sea levels. If it took place rapidly, planet-wide disaster and mass extinction of species would not be out of the question.
